Cake Smash Photoshoot Lancashire – Jane Tatham Photography
I love a good cake smash photoshoot! This photograph of Ellis staring at his Cake Smash Cake in amazement is definitely one of my favourites from his first birthday photo shoot! I wonder what he was thinking? The cake must have felt enormous in comparison to him!
The last time I saw Ellis was for his newborn photography session one year ago! It was so lovely to see him and his family in the studio again! His Mummy and Daddy requested this gorgeous set up with white and blue balloons against a grey backdrop, I added some other props to match and included some cute pom poms for Ellis to play with.
He was a little apprehensive to begin with, but after lots of Mummy and Daddy cuddles, some fun birthday music and encouragement from his big sister Annie, we got some lovely smiles and he had a great time getting stuck into his cake smash cake.
The Set Up
Creating customised set ups for each cake smash session is definitely one of the perks of being a baby photographer! I love being creative and can’t wait for the big reveal! It’s so lovely to see a family’s reaction to what I’ve created for them and it’s always such an amazing surprise for the birthday boy or girl!
The balloon garland that I make for each cake smash photoshoot (if the parents would like one) is included, along with the Cake Smash Cake! You can also take these home with you following your photoshoot to continue the first birthday celebrations!
I love all baby photoshoots but cake smash photography has to be one of my favourites. These photography sessions are so colourful, messy and fun! It is always such a privilege to be chosen to photograph this very precious milestone.
